Question
What is the religious ruling on the Ahbaash sect? Is it permissible to perform the prayer behind them? Is it permissible to marry their women [or marry off our women to them]? Is it permissible to hire them in companies and other interests, as it is feared that they would influence the employees?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
We have already discussed the issue about this group in Fatwa 84336, so please refer to it. There is no doubt that whoever follows the religion of this group, it is not permissible to perform the prayer behind him, or marry off a woman to him. If one of them is calling to his methodology and it is feared that he will influence the employees, then one should not employ him, and it is more appropriate to employ those who follow the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaa'ah in all cases.
