Question
I am a man who is interested in storing honey. Once I forgot to close the container with a lid so a mouse which died a long time ago fell from the ceiling into the container of honey. So, is it permissible to eat this honey? It should be noted that the mouse died a long time ago.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
If the honey is solid, then throw away the mouse and the entire place around which it fell and which you think is touched by it, and then benefit from the remaining honey. However, if this honey is liquid, then do not benefit from it and discard it. This is the view of the majority of the scholars
