Question
assalamo alaikum. i just want to ask regarding the different races of people in this world. i just want to know the story why there are different faces,colors, and races of people where in fact we came from one race of man which is Adam(pbuh)?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
It is among Allaah's Wisdom and Will that there are many races of people and they are of different colours. This is indeed one of the greatest signs proving Allaah's Might, Ability and Power. Allaah Says (what means): {And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge.} [Quran 30:22]. Allaah further Says (what means): {And your Lord creates whatsoever He wills and chooses.} [Quran 28:68]. In another verse, Allaah Says (what means): {He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He pleases. Laa ilaaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.} [Quran 3:6].
