Women Are Excluded from Taraweeh Prayer
Imam in our Masjid completes the Qur'an during Taraweeh prayer. Because of that he says that it is Makrooh for women to attend Taraweeh prayer. Number of Rak’ahs of Taraweeh prayer
My question is regarding Taraweeh prayers in the month of Ramadan: Why do Muslims of Middle Eastern origin pray 8 rakah and Muslims from India/Pakistan pray 20 Rakahs? Our Prophet (pbuh) prayed only 8, while Umar (ra) established 20 rakahs. Who should we to follow? Please explain in detail.
