Leading family in prayer at home instead of going to a faraway mosque
asalumu alaikum There is a masjid an hour way from my house which I am capable to walk to. But my mother wants me to stay at home and lead my family in salah instead. Should I go to the masjid because I heard that it is obligatory to go to the masjid if there is one nearby? Or should I listen to my mom and lead my family in salah? .. More

Amount of time permitted for workers to perform prayer
Al Salam alikum: i work in construction company, at praying time some workers leave the work to drive to the mosque 10-15 minutes, pray and return to work all in all spending about 45 min to 1 hour for each prayer. how long time is generally acceptable to be given for each prayer. and sometimes at Azan a person go to mosque early spend 20 minutes waiting.. Praying on time but not in the mosque
Dear Sirs Assalam o Aleikum I say my prayers as follows: Fajr in the mosque Zuhr in my office at times before Adhan but within the time. Asr at home before Adhan but within the time. Moving to a better college where there is no mosques nearby
I am a college student who will be finishing my diploma this June and the proceeding with the higher diploma. My college is located next to a Masjid and I am able to perform my Salah on time. His friend does not pray in the mosque due to studies

His job makes it difficult for him to pray Thuhr or Asr in the Masjid
I live in the United States, and Al-Hamdu Lillaah, I take praying Jamaa'h in the Masjid very seriously and there's nothing I hate more than missing the Jamaa'h. Difficulty praying in congregation due to distance to mosque
I understand that praying in congregation in a mosque is Waajib. However, the nearest mosque to my house is about 10 minutes drive (sometimes more if the roads are busy) and I do not hear the Athaan. Missing Fajr prayer in congregation due to late night work
I live near a mosque withina five-minute walk, but I cannot hear the Azan because it is not announced over a loudspeaker. Here in this multi-racial society the government will not allow others (Kafirun) to be disturbed. It is compulsory for me to go to the mosque for congregational prayers 5 times daily.
