Question
Assalam Aleikum, ALLAH alone will reward those who work hard in spreading the knowledge of knowing our obligations towards understanding Islamic rules. In Fatwa 81404 & 83761 discussing Wajibat in paying Zakaat for Lands, should someone always buy and sell lands, in one of the Fatwa it said that once the land complete haul (Lunar one Year) it is obligatory to pay Zakaat, the question is if the same person paying Zakaat in a particular Lunar month of the year for all his ammount is this allowed to combine the Zakaat of these lands as well when his date is due to pay Zakaat? or he has to keep the records for all lands, and if the land is sold before completing Haul what he has to do? Jazaka Allah Khairan.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
The matter is as we mentioned in Fataawa 83761 and 81404 that one is obliged to pay Zakat on land which is prepared for trade when a whole lunar year elapses on it.
The lunar year for this land is the lunar year of the money by which you purchased the land. Therefore, when a whole lunar year elapses, one should evaluate the lands which he possesses and other tradable items, and add this to his money and then pay the Zakat on the totality.
