Question
I read a Hadeeth talking about what will happen on the 15th of Ramadhaan. Is this Hadeeth Saheeh? This Hadeeth frightened me and many people I know. Thank you.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
What is said nowadays about what will occur on Friday 15th of Ramadan is totally wrong. Some people cite a fabricated Hadeeth as a proof. It is said in this Hadeeth that if the night of 14th Ramadan is a Thursday, then a high-pitched voice will be heard in the sky. Due to this voice, 70 thousand persons would die, 70 thousand persons would become deaf, and so on.
Ibn Al-Qayyim said that this Hadeeth is fabricated.
