Asalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu.. Hoping that all of my brothers and sisters in islam are all well and healthy Inshallah...
My question.. What is the ruling on mosque teachers asking for fees to teach children?
My second question is that.. I know a person that is fighting pnumonia and is critically ill.. he has infected his brain, his stomach and his ear. Is there any dua or any cure that can save his life?... There is only so much that a doctor can do.. and he is the only son that provides for his family. Please help.
Also there is another question.. my sister would like to know if there is any dua that can improve the faith and Iman of someone.
I would like to ask if believing in the interpretations of dreams .. is classified as shirk or not?... I have a friend whom had died 6/7 years ago.. I am now 19 years old.. since she has died.. She has come into my dreams once almost every year.. The last time i had seen her.. she was wearing clothing.. and was just staring at me. Could you please kindly explain to me what the meaning of this is please.
Many Thanks

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Our answer to you will be summarized in the following points:
1- Taking a fee for teaching Quran is a controversial issue among the scholars and the most preponderant opinion is that it is permissible as the Prophet said: "The most deserving thing for which you take payment is the Quran.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Even if the reason why the Prophet said the Hadeeth was the Ruqyah, the wording here is general, and the scholars said that the ruling is based on the general meaning not on the specific reason. However, if this teacher is not in need of money and seeks the reward from Allaah (for teaching the Quran) then this is better for him.
2- This patient should perform Ruqyah on himself and supplicate to Allaah as much as possible to cure him. It is permissible for other people to supplicate for him or to perform Ruqyah on him if he so needs. For more benefit on Ruqyah, please refer to Fatwa 88705. Moreover, one should think good of Allaah and he should know that there is no disease except that Allaah descended a cure for it as in the Hadeeth. In addition to this, he should consult the specialist doctors. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 88715.
3- With regard to a supplication for strengthening one’s ‘Eemaan, you may refer to Fatwa 86088.
4- It permissible to interpret dreams, because the Prophet interpreted his own dreams and the dreams of other people. However, one should abide by the religious requirements in this regard and it is only the one who knows how to interpret dreams who should do so. If he sees good, he may inform about it, and if he sees other than this, he should say something good otherwise he should remain silent, as stated by Imaam Maalik .
Allaah Knows best.
