Question
We all see how wretched and weak the Ummah has become, with our enemies attacking and wronging us madly. Are we close to the time of the coming of Al-Mahdi?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
The scholars 
mentioned that there are several authentic narrations about the coming of Al-Mahdi, and he will definitely come out. He will be a righteous man from the descendants of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and Allaah The Almighty will change the status of the Muslim Nation from evil to good at the hands of this man.
Just to mention one narration, among many others, on the coming of Al-Mahdi, the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said that even if there only remains one day for the end of this world, Allaah The Exalted will prolong it until He Sends a man from my house hold (descendants) to fill the earth will equity and justice, as it was formerly filled with oppression and tyranny. [Abu Daawood]
As for the time for his advent; the knowledge of this is with Allaah, and we ask Allaah to change the status of the Muslims to the best.
