Question
I recently read a book that talks about the end of Israel and the world. I want to know the authenticity of the information mentioned in this book.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
We would like to refer the questioner to a previous Fataawa on the inevitability of the end of the state of Israel. Please see Fataawa 83267 and 27186.
The end of the world is a fact that is clarified in the Quran. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {The example of [this] worldly life is but like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought.} [Quran 10:24] This is the final statement.
One should be aware of the fact that it is impermissible to set a specific date for the end of the state of Israel, or the end of the world. People who do so are acting and speaking according to their whims and guesses and do not rely on revealed evidence. Therefore, one should refrain from indulging in discussions about these matters.
