Fatwa CenterWill whoever commits a sin enter Hell?
Question
Is it true that whoever commits a sin will enter Hell to expiate that sin and then exit it? Is there anyone who will enter Paradise directly without entering Hell?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
Not all who commit sins will enter Hell for their expiation. Rather, Allaah The Almighty will forgive some people and they will not enter it. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Indeed, Allaah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills.} [Quran 4:48]
Some sinners will not enter Hell because they have asked Allaah The Almighty to forgive their sins in the present life and Allaah The Almighty did, or even replaced their sins with good deeds. Others’ good deeds will outweigh their sins.
In conclusion, whoever dies a Muslim will not enter Hell unless their evil deeds exceed the good deeds, and Allaah The Almighty does not forgive him. In addition, even a Muslim who enters Hell will certainly exit it some time after that.
There are people who will enter Paradise without reckoning. It was narrated on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbaas 
that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said that seventy thousand people from this Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning. He described them as those who believe that Ruqyah (healing with the Quran and Prophetic supplications) is only beneficial by the permission of Allaah The Exalted, those who do not believe in omens and those who put their absolute trust in Allaah The Almighty.
