Is it permissible for a Muslim to put peacock's feathers in his house? Some people say that it brings misfortune and prevents provision. Is this correct?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
There is nothing wrong with putting peacock feathers in a house for adornment or the like. The claim that it brings misfortune or prevents provision is false, and it indicates corruption in the creed and mind of the person who says this.
Allaah Knows best.
