This is about a person who said that she does not believe in Allaah. When asked whether she was a Muslim or a disbeliever, I said that I did not know. Even though I knew that the issue of ignorance or being forced to say words of disbelief do not apply to her, I said this. I had the feeling that I was missing something and was not considering something in her case. Maybe I thought that she said it jokingly and was not a disbeliever, but I know that even saying such thing in jest constitutes disbelief. If I said this for this reason, is it disbelief? Or maybe I did not have the courage to call someone a disbeliever even though all the conditions of disbelief apply to her. Is my refusal to call her a disbeliever disbelief according to the fatwa of Muhammad ibn Abd Al-Wahhaab? I immediately became worried about my answer and recanted it sometime later. I am very worried Brother. I hope that you can answer my question
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Your answer to the mentioned question and the circumstances of the answer indicate that what you had uttered has nothing to do with Kufr (disbelief), and you are not among those who do not consider a disbeliever a disbeliever or who have doubts about it.
By referring to your previous questions, we notice that you are afflicted with some kind of Waswaas (obsessive whisperings) about accusing oneself of disbelief, so we advise you to repel these whisperings and not pay any attention to them lest you suffer their evil consequences.
Allaah knows best.
