Question
Assalaamu alaykum. I am a 22-year-old male. I am getting a white fluid discharge frequently from my penis without any sexual arousal and without any erection. But when I am sexually aroused, I get a sticky colorless fluid discharge. For the past five months, I have been doing Ghusl (bath taken in case of major ritual impurity) almost every morning because of this white fluid discharge, thinking that it may be Mani (semen) and in order to be on safer side. It becomes difficult for me to pray the Fajr on time. I am very depressed. The doctor found no problem with me. It is not thick like semen. I do not know whether sperm is present in this white fluid discharge. When this happens to me when I am awake, I wash my private parts and perform ablution. But my question only concerns what I should do after having slept everytime. My questions are:
1) Do I have to perform Ghusl everytime when I get this white fluid discharge while sleeping? (90% of the time I do not remember having had an erotic dream)
2) Is this Madhi (prostetic fluid) or Mani? Note:This white fluid comes even when I am not sexually aroused. It does not contain more than two or three drops everytime.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
This discharge could be Wadi or Mathi, which do not require Ghusl, but one just needs to wash the private parts and perform ablution. You are not obliged to perform Ghusl just because of doubting the discharge of Mani.
Also, the semen that necessitates Ghusl, according to the majority of the scholars, is that which is ejaculated with sexual arousal. So if we presume that the discharge is semen but it was discharged without arousal, as you mentioned, then, according to the view of the majority of the scholars, it does not require Ghusl; rather, it just necessitates washing the private parts and performing ablution.
So when you wake up and find wetness, then if you are certain that it is Mani, you are obliged to perform Ghusl, but if you doubt whether or not it is Mani, then the view that we adopt here at Islamweb is the view of the Shaafi’i School, which is that you may choose the ruling that you wish to apply to it.
