I have read fatwa No. 289621; in the answer, are you referring to the name 'Nike', the 'Nike' logo, or both?
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
It appears – Allah knows best – that the problem is not only in the word "Nike"; rather, it is both in the name and the logo (tick √).
The word Nike is a name for that god (i.e. ancient Greek goddess of victory).
As regards the sign or trademark (tick √) ; then we have come to know that it is not only the tick sign; rather, it is called "Swoosh" and mainly symbolizes the winged goddess of victory in Greek mythology, called Nike.
Therefore it is not permissible to use the product mentioned, even if it only bears the tick sign without the name Nike, unless it is blurred and changed.
Allah knows best.
