What is the ruling on a person who respects Hadith books more than the Quran?
All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
It is quite unlikely that a Muslim would respect the Hadeeth books more than the Quran. Discussing such a topic yields no real benefit. Rather, disregarding such questions is required, especially when raised by someone suffering from Waswaas (obsessive/devilish whisperings), which most likely is the cause for raising such questions or looking for answers to them. It is better for the Muslim to ask only about religious rulings and matters that lead to doing good deeds.
Allah knows best.
