Assalam O Alaikum,
A portion of the carpet in my bedroom (fitted carpet) was soiled with drops of urine. Once the urine had largely dried i had poured water on the area once. After the water had dried, the next day i steam-cleaned the portion thoroughly. This was 4 months ago. I never thought much of it after that until recently i have been getting doubts regarding the purity of this carpet. (I do suffer from waswasas). I am trying my best to ignore them but can you please tell me if what i did made the carpet pure. Or is it still impure. And if it is still impure what do i need to do? I have read conflicting accounts from scholars with some mentioning simply pouring water is enough whereas some say you have to pour water twice or thrice. Please tell me if i made the carpet pure or not.
(Also if if it still impure as i have walked around with wet feet all over the house the impurity would have transferred and since there are fitted carpets everywhere it would make it very hard to purify the entire house. In such circumstances can i consider it pure as it would be too much to do?) sorry for the long question
Thank you for your time
May Allah bless you,
Ameen
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
As long as you poured water over the place of impurity and water submerged it, then the place has become pure.
There is no need for those whispers and illusions; rather, you have to repel them and avoid them, as giving in to whispers leads you to a great evil.
