All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
As for your question as to whether you bear sin for your mistakes in the recitation of the Quran or not, if you are able to learn and correct your recitation, then you bear sin for continuing to make such mistakes in the recitation.
Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali said in Al-Ihyaa’: “If a person who makes many mistakes when reciting the Quran is able to learn the correct recitation, he should refrain from reciting the Quran before learning the correct recitation, as he commits a sin by reciting the Quran incorrectly. However, if he is unable to learn the correct recitation, and mostly makes mistakes while reciting the Quran, he should refrain from reciting it and strive to learn the correct recitation. Nonetheless, if he mostly recites the Quran correctly, but makes some mistakes during the recitation and cannot correct some of these mistakes for his recitation to be moderately correct, there is nothing wrong if he recites the Quran, but he should lower his voice (lest others would hear his wrong recitation). Forbidding such a person from reciting the Quran even inaudibly is reasonable as well. However, if he is doing his utmost to learn the correct recitation and he enjoys reciting it and is keen on it, I believe there is nothing wrong with it …” [End of quote]
As for the proper way to learn the correct recitation of the Quran, you should enroll in a Quran school, even the online-based ones on social media, which made it easier for Muslims to learn the correct recitation of the Quran. You may easily join an online-based Quran school via WhatsApp, for instance, and learn the proper recitation of the Quran and correct your mistakes with the help of a Quran teacher, Allah Willing.
