Question
I work in the stock market. Someone wants to give me money to invest for him. I know some of his money is from credit card fraud, should I take the money to invest for him or not?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. You are not permitted to invest money, which is mixed with Haram. This act is a kind of cooperation with that person to commit Haram. Also the investment of this Haram money results in getting a portion of its profit in your money and thus you and your family will consume Haram earnings. We also inform you that investing money in share market should be restricted to the legally valid sectors. For more details, please refer to Fatwas No. 82020 and 81579.
