Qur'anic verses sung with music

Question

Concept of picture and music is not allowed in Islam. But nowadays even Qur'anic verses are sung along with music. Is it ok?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

No doubt that anybody who wants to read Qur'an should behave himself in a way that pleases Allah, as Qur'an is His Words. Muslim scholars have stated many of the behaviours that one should respect. First, the reader should have it in his mind that he is supplicating Allah, The Almighty. As a result, he should brush his teeth, get purified and sit in a pure place. The reader should also read with stress and intonation. There is no objection if he beautifies his voice provided there is nothing in this that affects the rules of Tajweeed, as some people exaggerate in some of these rules in order to please their listeners. So, Qur'an is so sacred that it has to be fully respected.
As for having music accompanying the Qur'an, this is an obnoxious act.
In fact, it is disrespect towards The Words of Allah apart from it being a great sin. How can we mix the Qur'an with the whispers of Satan?
Allah knows best.
