Fatwa CenterPenalty for the husband who fails to respond to his wife's sexual needs
Question
Will the husband be punished after death if he does not respond to the sexual need of his wife, and this without having health problems? We all know that the women have to respond to the needs of her husband no matter what (except when she is ill) and if she does not respond she will be demand all day.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
The jurists 
differed in opinion regarding the ruling when it is obligatory on a husband to have sexual intercourse with his wife. The most preponderant opinion among them is that it is obligatory on him to do so when he is physically able and his wife needs to be sexually satisfied.
Therefore, it is not permissible for a husband to desert his wife's bed for a long time in which she is harmed. If he does so without a sound reason, then he is sinful and he deserves Allaah's Punishment.
It is worth mentioning that sexually a man's nature is different from that of a woman.
The jurists stated that it is obligatory on a wife to let her husband have sex with her whenever he wishes as long as having sexual intercourse with him will not cause her any harm or prevent her from performing an obligatory act of worship, as the Prophet said: "If a husband calls his wife to bed (to have sexual intercourse with her) and she refuses, and he goes to bed angry with her, the angels will curse her until she gets up in the morning." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
