Question
Is it true that one of the minor Signs of the Hour is the destruction of Al-Aqsa mosque? Can you please describe the minor and major Signs in detail?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
We do not know any evidence which states that among the signs of the Hour Al-Aqsa mosque will be destroyed. We also do not know any evidence which states that the mosque will remain until the Day of Judgement. As regards the minor and major signs of the Day of Judgement, it is not possible for us to mention them here in details as you requested, but you could refer to Fataawa 82276 and 89152 for more benefit.
