Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, you should be very grateful to Allaah Who blessed you with this husband who possesses good qualities.

You should know that it is an obligation on a Muslim to conceal his sins especially Zina (fornication or adultery); therefore your husband was wrong for informing you about these sins which he had committed before repenting. For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 83268 and 83573.

According to the saying of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, whoever repents, Allaah accepts his repentance. Therefore, you should not preoccupy yourself with these thoughts which you have, as they may be whispers from the devil in order to make you miserable and spoil your marital relationship, and this could lead to unpleasant consequences.

Hence, we advise you to repel these whispers, seek refuge in Allaah from the devil, mention Allaah earnestly, and continue your life with your husband as if nothing had happened.

As regards residing in a non-Muslim country, then there is no doubt that there are many disadvantages in it and the scholars may Allaah have mercy upon them stated that the ruling of migrating to a Muslim country differs from one country to another, and from one person to another; for more benefit in this regard, please refer to Fatwa 86405.

If you want to migrate to a Muslim country, you should wisely discuss the matter with your husband, and we do not think that he will persist in residing there since you mentioned that he has good qualities, especially if you are not safe about your religion. Each one of you should help the other in doing good.

Finally, we do not understand what you meant by saying that you forgave your husband, if you refer to the sins which he committed, then he has not wronged you by committing them. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 86058.

Allaah Knows best.
