BISMILLAH ARAHMAN RAHIMRAHIM::Glory be To ALLAH the Lord of the World and peace and blessing be upon prophet Mohammad(SAW),, Qn: I have been having signs and symptoms of Jinns ie chestpain and on and off depression, extreme laziness.. I started listening to quran then Ruqya audios. and noticed improvement...There after i constantly dreamt a group of certain people interviewing me about my social life and family background. These are people I know and are Muslims..So persisted in putting on the quran and Ruqya audios to my surprise am being told in dreams that one of them isnt sleeping because I leave of the quran at night. For your information I am currently in London and they are in Africa. Qn: Are my having illusions or its a fact??and does it mean that when I put on the Quran despite being miles apart one in AFRICA shouldn't sleep???its complex and if so does it mean that I should stop the quran and Ruqya audios ?? JazakaALLAH khair.
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
These symptoms do not necessarily mean that you are affected with jinn or the like. It is better for a Muslim not to hasten to such judgment in order to avoid involving himself in illusions.
You should consult specialist doctors as there might be a physical disease. If there is no disease, then you may be affected with an evil eye, or possessed by jinn and the like. So, you should be keen on performing Ruqyah which is beneficial – Allaah willing – for protection against physical and psychological diseases. In any case, you should continue to perform Ruqyah. For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 5241, 25030 and 9800.
As regards your dreams, they might not have any relation with being possessed by jinn, as this may be caused by the devils that are playing with the human being or are just one’s inner thoughts. It is confirmed that the Prophet said: ''There are three types of dreams: a good dream which is glad tidings from Allaah, a dream of sadness from the devil and a reflection of one's thoughts (i.e. experiences one has during wakefulness); so if any one of you sees a dream which he does not like, he should get up and offer prayer and he should not relate it to the people.” [Muslim]
Therefore, you should not take these dreams into consideration or be concerned about them, or abandon the Ruqyah because of something that you saw in them.
Allaah Knows best.
