Question
Why did Allaah the Almighty make us live on the earth and not in Paradise?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alyhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
Allaah the Almighty is not to be asked why He did this or that, only His creatures are asked by Him. He is the Creator of all creation, their Provider, their life-Giver and Taker of life, The One Who elevates and diminishes their status and He is The One Who Has the power to humiliate them.
The Muslim has to believe that Allaah the Almighty is the Best of Judges, and that there is wisdom in all His acts.
Allaah the Almighty informed us that He created Jinn and humans only for His worship. He tested them and allocated the earth as a place for their trial, where there are rich and poor, the oppressor and the oppressed and the powerful and the weak; each of which is tested according to his status.
As for Paradise, the abode of everlasting delights and plentiful blessings, Allaah the Almighty made it the reward for believers who succeed in the trial on Earth.
