Assalamualaikum,I am 25 years old. Whenever, i talk to my wife, I frequently have sticky liquid (Madhi) from my private part. Its not like i am engaging with my wife with sensational activities, Just like normal conversation, this madhi comes out very frequently. Is it impure? can i continue my prayer with it? washing my clothing every now and then is very difficult especially when i am outside. is it okay for me to just make wudu and make salah? can i read Quran during such circumstances. please provide me some solution. it is very frustrating, i cannot even have conversation with her without happening this and i feel like my prayers are not being accepted and my reading of the Quran gets violated. somethimes it happens during my Salah as well. Please help me out.
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. {C}
The Mathi is a transparent and viscous fluid that comes out when thinking lustfully or seeing or hearing what incites lust.
Its ruling is like that of urine; it invalidates ablution. It is impure and you must perform Istinjaa’ from it (washing the private part) and you must also wash the part of clothes that are stained by it.
The prayer is not valid with clothes that are stained by it; rather, it must be purified with water.
Many jurists held the view that it is enough to splash water over it based on the Hadeeth narrated by Sahl ibn Hunayf who said: "The Mathi fluid bothered me a lot, so I had to perform Ghusl frequently. I complained about this to the Prophet who said, 'Performing Wudhoo’ (ablution) is enough for you.' 'What about the drops staining my garment, O Messenger of Allah?' I said. 'Take a handful of water and splash it over the areas smeared with it, and make sure the water touches it' replied the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam." [Ahmad, Abu Daawood, At-Tirmithi, and Ibn Maajah. Al-Albaani and Shu’ayb Al-Arna’oot classified it as sound]
Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah said:
"The most preponderant view about the Mathi is that splashing it with water is sufficient; this is one of the two views from Ahmad." [End of quote]
Splashing water over your garment to purify it from Mathi is easy even if you are outside the house.
It is not necessary to purify the clothes from Mathi in order to recite the Quran, unless you will touch the Mus-haf while reciting the Quran [and not reciting from your memory]
