What will be the state of the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alyhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
Allaah The Almighty describes the state of the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection in many verses in His Book (i.e. The Quran). Some of these verses describe their resurrection. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised.} [Quran 70:43-44]. Allaah The Almighty tells us that they will emerge very rapidly from their graves as if they will be rushing towards something that would bring them joy. However, that Day they will not rush joyfully or in pride; rather they will be humiliated and looking down. Allaah The Almighty also Says (what means):
On that Day they will wish that Allaah The Almighty would destroy them and turn them into dust. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):
On the authority of Anas ibn Maalik the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said that the disbeliever will be gathered (walking) on his face on the Day of Resurrection. [Al-Bukhari]
There are a lot of verses that mention their state in Hell. Anyone who reads the Book of Allaah The Almighty will find a detailed answer.
Allaah Knows best.
