What a slave will be reckoned for first

Question

Is there a Hadeeth of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, saying that the first thing a woman will be reckoned for is her husband?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

We did not find any Hadeeth proving that the first deed a woman will be reckoned for is her husband's rights over her, but we found that a person's deeds are divided into two categories: The rights of Allaah and the rights of people.

The first right of Allaah The Almighty which a Muslim will be reckoned for is prayer. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "The first act a slave (of Allaah) will be reckoned for on the Day of Resurrection is his prayer." [An-Nasaa’i, At-Tirmithi, and others]

The first right of people for which a person will be called to account is blood. Abu Waa'il narrated on the authority of ‘Abdullaah may Allaah be pleased with him that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "The first matters concerning which people will be judged (on the Day of Resurrection) will be (the matters of) blood-shed." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Allaah Knows best.
